Elfsight free plan limits
200 views a month.
Then the widget
simply isn’t there.
Elfsight’s free plan gives each app 200 views a month and one widget, with a “Free Elfsight widget” logo under it. A view is every load of a page that carries the widget, by anyone, so a widget on every page of a site with 100 pageviews a day passes 200 on day 3. Past the limit Elfsight deactivates the app: visitors see nothing, as if it had never been installed, until its views refresh or you upgrade. The next plan, Basic, is $6 a month per app, or $60 a year, for 5,000 views and three widgets. Below: the plans, how views add up, a calculator for your cut-off day, which Elfsight apps Builderify’s widget can replace and which it can’t, and a checklist for a widget that has gone missing.

What does Elfsight’s free plan include?
One widget, 200 views, per app.
Elfsight sells each app on its own. A plan covers one app, say Google Reviews, and every other app you use stays on Free with its own 200 views. The All Apps Pack lifts every app to the same tier for the price of three single apps. Every plan, Free included, works on as many websites as you like.
| Plan | Views a month, per app | Widgets per app | One app monthly / yearly |
All Apps Pack monthly / yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 200 | 1 | $0 | Not offered |
| Basic | 5,000 | 3 | $6 / $60 | $18 / $180 |
| Pro | 50,000 | 9 | $12 / $120 | $36 / $360 |
| Premium | 150,000 | 21 | $24 / $240 | $72 / $720 |
| Enterprise T1 | 300,000 | 50 | $42 / $360 | $126 / $1,080 |
| Enterprise T2 | 600,000 | 100 | $56 / $480 | $168 / $1,440 |
| Enterprise T3 | 1,200,000 | 200 | $84 / $720 | $252 / $2,160 |
| Enterprise T4 | Unlimited | 400 | $112 / $960 | $336 / $2,880 |
Per app, not per account
The view limit “applies to the entire app, not individual widgets or websites”. Two Google Reviews widgets share one app’s views; a Google Reviews widget and a WhatsApp Chat widget each have their own 200.
What Free leaves out
Every widget on Free carries a “Free Elfsight widget” logo, removed only by upgrading. Support on Free is bug fixes only. Elfsight’s pricing guide says there is no trial of the paid plans; it offers a full refund within 14 days instead.
Two apps cost double
Social Feed and All-in-One Reviews are priced at twice the single-app rate, because they pull from many networks: Basic is $12 a month for them. Yearly billing is 17% cheaper on regular plans, 29% on Enterprise.
Elfsight’s US-dollar list prices on 17 October 2026. Elfsight bills in dollars, pounds, euros or Swiss francs by country. Yearly prices are for twelve months paid up front.
How does Elfsight count views?
Every load, of every page it’s on.
A view is not a visitor and not a click. In Elfsight’s words, “A view is counted each time someone loads the page with your widget”, whether or not they scroll down to it. Your analytics will show a smaller number, because it counts people. Three things multiply it.
a month, on every website the widget is on. Loads in your own browser count too, unless you stay logged in to Elfsight.
A widget in your site template or footer loads on every page. On one page, only that page’s loads count.
Two widgets of the same app on one page count two views. Free allows only one.
Against a free limit of 200. This app goes dark on day 3 of 30.
“View limit is given per month and applies to the entire app, not individual widgets or websites.”
“If you exceed the view limit, the widget on your website will be deactivated. It will no longer be visible to your site visitors, appearing as though it was never installed.”
“If the widget code is added to your website template files, it automatically loads on every page. This increases views much faster than placing it on a single page.”
When does it come back?
On its own, on the app’s next refresh date; the Views tab in each app shows the days left and a forecast. Upgrading brings it back at once. Elfsight emails you before it switches off, and you keep seeing a deactivation notice in place of the widget while your visitors see nothing.
Your own visits count
Elfsight skips your views only while you are logged in to it in the same browser. Safari’s cross-site tracking prevention and Firefox’s cookie protection can stop that working, so an afternoon of building a page can spend a free app’s month before launch. Elfsight’s support offers to put right views you burned that way.
When will my free Elfsight widget disappear?
The day, and the plan that stops it.
Run it once per app, since each app has its own allowance. Take pageviews, not visitors, from your analytics or your host’s statistics; analytics behind a cookie banner undercounts, so round up.
A floating chat button is usually on every page. Your analytics’ page report shows what share your home page gets.
Each one counts a view.
About 2,800 more views would find no widget before the refresh date. Visitors see nothing where it was.
- Gone on
- Day 3
- Views a day
- 100
- Plan it needs
- Basic
Basic is the smallest single-app plan that keeps it up: $6 a month, or $60 a year billed yearly.
Assumes traffic spread evenly over the month; a busy weekend brings the day forward. The app switches off when it passes 200, so the day shown is the first with a view over the limit. Plans and prices are Elfsight’s single-app list prices in US dollars; the next panel prices several apps together.
A free Elfsight alternative
for some apps, not all of them.
Builderify is one script with a floating bubble and popups. Tick the Elfsight apps on your site. Yes means the same job in the same place; Partly, the job, but in the bubble instead of inside your page, or with less; No, nothing in Builderify does it.
Google Reviews and Instagram Feed have no Builderify equivalent: keep them on Elfsight, or find another tool.
-
WhatsApp ChatA WhatsApp button in the floating bubble.
-
PopupCustom popups with their own triggers.
-
Countdown TimerA Countdown Timer block in the bubble, not in your page.
-
FAQAn FAQ block in the bubble, not in your page.
-
Google ReviewsNo review cards or review feeds.
-
Instagram FeedNo social feeds.
Every ticked app is assumed to sit on the same pages as in the calculator, on the smallest plan that fits, priced as single apps or the All Apps Pack, whichever costs less. Builderify is priced on every pageview, because its script usually loads on every page: 10 credits per 1,000 page loads of the widget, however many blocks it holds, 250 free credits a month and one-time packs from $9 (the rate card). Leads, live chats, AI answers and translations spend credits too.
Elfsight widget not showing?
Check these, in order.
The view limit comes first because it is the most common cause on Free and the only one that fixes itself. After that, Elfsight’s own troubleshooting guide works from the dashboard to the page. Test in a private window each time, with extensions off.
On Squarespace, a “Script Disabled” box in the editor is normal: Squarespace switches scripts off while you edit. Check the preview or the live page instead.
-
The view limit
Open the app in your Elfsight dashboard and its Views tab. At the limit, the widget stays off until the days-to-reset counter runs out or you upgrade.
-
Hidden from website
Each widget has a Hide from Website option. A crossed-out eye in the dashboard means it is on; choose Show on Website from the three-dots menu.
-
Deleted
If the widget is gone from the dashboard, your browser console on the page shows WIDGET_NOT_FOUND. Elfsight’s support can restore it.
-
Display rules and triggers
Popups, age gates and floating chats obey Pages, Devices, Visitors and Date & Time settings. A popup with every trigger switched off never opens.
-
Code removed or commented out
In the page’s developer tools, search the Elements tab for elfsight. No match means a theme update removed the code; <!-- --> around it means it is commented out.
-
Ad blockers and privacy extensions
If the private window shows the widget, an extension is hiding it. Allow *.elfsight.com in it, or accept that some visitors won’t see it either.
-
Content Security Policy
A console error mentioning Content Security Policy and script-src means your site blocks outside scripts. Allow *.elfsight.com and *.elfsightcdn.com.

Do other widget makers cap free views?
Some do, in almost the same words. Trustmary’s free Solo plan for review widgets lists 200 monthly widget views and five survey responses. Its pricing page says a view is counted “everytime anyone visits your site and loads the widget”, and that at the limit “the widget is simply hidden until the limit resets”.
Before you move to any widget library, find what its free tier counts, views, widgets or features, and what happens on the day you pass it. If the answer is “the widget is hidden”, run the calculator above with its number instead of 200.
One widget, one meter,
and its own catch, up front.
Builderify puts its blocks in one floating bubble and its popups and top bar on the same script. There is no limit per app. Each page load of the widget costs the same 10 credits per 1,000 whether it holds a WhatsApp button or twenty blocks, and the 250 free credits every month pay for about 25,000 page loads.
The same script carries the parts Elfsight sells as separate apps: cookie consent, the accessibility toolbar, translations and the AI chatbot. A link on your page can open a bubble block, such as the FAQ, opening hours or a booking form; each block’s Triggers tab gives you the link.
Know this first
-
1
At zero credits, Builderify pauses too.
When your balance reaches zero, the widget stops loading for visitors, as Elfsight’s does at its limit, until you add credits or your 250 free credits renew on your monthly date. The cookie banner is the exception: it keeps running, so visitors can still say yes or no.
-
2
Nothing sits inside your page.
Every block lives in the floating bubble or a popup. There are no inline embeds, so a FAQ, a countdown or a form opens from the corner of the screen rather than sitting between two paragraphs.
-
3
No feeds, galleries or review cards.
Instagram and other social feeds, photo galleries, sliders, maps, event calendars, pricing tables and review carousels are not in Builderify. The review blocks show a star rating and a count, nothing more.
-
4
Your own page loads count.
Unlike Elfsight, there is no logged-in exception: every page load on your site is metered, yours included. Builderify’s own dashboard preview is free.
-
5
The branding stays unless you pay once.
The bubble says “Powered by Builderify” until you spend 1,500 credits, once, on that website.
Installing it where your Elfsight code was
- WordPress: the Builderify plugin. Download
builderify.zipfrom the WordPress tab of the dashboard’s Connect your website page, upload it under Plugins › Add New Plugin › Upload Plugin, then paste your site key in Settings › Builderify. It is not on WordPress.org yet. - Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow: one script tag in the site’s head: theme.liquid above
</head>on Shopify, Code Injection on Squarespace, Custom Code set to Head on Wix, the head code setting on Webflow. - Then remove the Elfsight code for every app you replaced, so the page doesn’t load both.
Stay on Elfsight Free, upgrade,
or move some apps?
The widget sits on one quiet page that gets fewer than about six views a day.
Stay on Elfsight Free. 200 views a month is enough, and the logo is the only cost. Stay logged in to Elfsight while you edit, and open the Views tab now and then.
You need one Elfsight app on a busy site: a feed, a gallery, review cards, a map.
Elfsight Basic or Pro for that app. $60 a year for 5,000 views a month, $120 for 50,000. Builderify has no equivalent, so it is not the answer here.
You run four or more Elfsight apps on the same busy pages.
Price the All Apps Pack. It costs the same as three single apps at each tier, so from the fourth app on, every extra app is free.
Your apps are chat buttons, popups, a top bar, a cookie banner, a FAQ or opening hours.
Builderify. One script, one meter, about 25,000 page loads a month on the free credits, then one-time packs from $9. At zero credits it pauses too, apart from the cookie banner.
You have both kinds.
Split them. Keep Elfsight for the feeds and galleries it does well, move the rest, and run the calculator again: fewer apps on Elfsight often fit a smaller plan, or none.
All you need is a countdown to a real deadline.
No widget at all. The countdown timer guide builds a free one you paste into your page, with no view counter.
More free plans with a ceiling: CookieYes switches its banner off at 5,000 pageviews, and Calendly’s free plan stops at one event type. If you are collecting reviews rather than showing them, the guide to getting more Google reviews builds your review link, and the tracker of website tools that shut down or shrank lists the rest.
Elfsight's free plan, before you ask.
Each Elfsight app on Free gets 200 views a month and one widget, with a "Free Elfsight widget" logo under it and support limited to bug fixes. The limit is per app, not per account: a WhatsApp Chat widget and a Google Reviews widget each have their own 200 views. Free works on any number of websites, but views from all of them add up.
Elfsight deactivates the app. Its widget is no longer shown to visitors, as though it had never been installed, until the app's views refresh on its next refresh date or you upgrade, which brings it back at once. Elfsight emails you before it happens, and the Views tab shows the days left until the reset.
Check the view limit first, in the app's Views tab. Then check that the widget isn't set to Hide from Website or deleted (the browser console shows WIDGET_NOT_FOUND), its page, device and date rules or popup triggers, and that the code is still on the page and not commented out. Ad blockers and a Content Security Policy that doesn't allow *.elfsight.com and *.elfsightcdn.com can also hide it.
On 17 October 2026, Basic was $6 a month, or $60 a year, per app for 5,000 views and three widgets, and Pro $12 a month, or $120 a year, for 50,000 views and nine widgets. The All Apps Pack costs the same as three single apps at each tier, from $18 a month. Social Feed and All-in-One Reviews cost twice the single-app price.
It depends on the app. Builderify replaces chat buttons, popups, a top bar, cookie consent, an accessibility toolbar, translations and an AI chatbot with one script, and its 250 free credits a month pay for about 25,000 page loads. It has no social feeds, galleries, review cards, maps or inline embeds, and at zero credits its widget pauses too, apart from the cookie banner.
