Quiz funnel for affiliate marketing
Six questions.
Three follow-ups.
A quiz funnel for affiliate marketing asks visitors a few questions, scores the answers, and sorts each person into a group with its own result and its own follow-up emails. Someone with ten hours a week and a small budget hears from you differently from someone who’s just curious, and someone who needs money this month is told honestly that this isn’t a quick fix. Each group lands in its own list, and that list’s sequence starts when they confirm their email. This guide is one of a series for students of OLSP Academy. It gives you a six-question quiz to take and adjust, a blueprint to rebuild it in Builderify, and the rules that keep its results honest.

How a quiz funnel qualifies prospects:
one score, three lanes.
A plain signup form treats everyone the same. A quiz tells you how ready each person is, so the curious get teaching, the ready get the training, and nobody gets a pitch they weren’t ready for.

your Megalink
Builderify sends each list’s sequence to everyone on it, so the bands are the segments: one list each. Answers also become tags on the lead, such as paid-traffic or writes, which you can see in Leads.
“Which way to start fits you?”
Take it as a prospect would.
Change the answers to see where different people land. Move the band edges to suit your audience, then copy the blueprint and build it in Builderify, question by question.
You have some time and you’re open to learning. The training I use is a good first step, and I’ll send you the six emails I wish I’d had when I started.

How to build the quiz funnel,
in five steps.
You need a site you own and, for the emails, your domain set up for sending, as in the follow-up sequence guide.
-
01
A home base with the widget
A Builderify blog on your own domain loads the widget on every page by itself; any site where you can paste the script works too. OLSP-hosted Hub Sites can’t run it. The bridge page guide sets one up.
-
02
Three lead lists
In Leads, one list per band: Quiz – Explore first, Quiz – Start small, Quiz – Ready to start. Each signup is asked to confirm their email before anything is sent.
-
03
The quiz
In Quizzes, add the six questions, points and tags from the blueprint, then three outcomes with their score ranges, result text, button and list. A checklist won’t let it go live while any score falls outside every band.
-
04
A sequence on each list
One Sequence per list. For Start small, paste the six-email follow-up sequence; the other two are shorter versions of it.
-
05
The Quiz block in your widget
Add the Quiz block to the floating widget, choose the quiz, and take it yourself three times, once for each band, to check every list and sequence.
The scoring works the same way as in the lead scoring quiz guide, which has more on choosing points and band edges.
Why it’s not called
“Which income path fits you?”
A result titled “your income path” reads as a forecast of earnings, and money-making offers are where regulators look hardest. The quiz sorts people by how ready they are, which you can stand behind. A summary, not legal advice for your case.
-
01
No result promises income
The FTC has warned that false or unsupported earnings claims are unlawful, and so are claims that no experience is needed. A result can say what to do next. It can’t say what someone will earn.
-
02
Say the button is a paid link
If a result’s button goes to your Megalink, you earn from it. The FTC says “paid link” next to an affiliate link is a clear enough disclosure, so the blueprint puts it in the button.
-
03
Don’t push people who need money now
The question about what they hope for is worth 30 points, except for “Money I need this month”, which scores nothing. The other five can add up to only 40, so whoever picks it lands in Explore first, whose result says plainly that this isn’t a quick fix.
-
04
Ask only what you’ll use
Every question changes the score or adds a tag you’ll act on. If an answer changes nothing, cut the question; each one costs you finishers.
Quiz, lists and follow-up
in one place.
There’s no quiz plan and no response cap. At the published rates, each person who finishes and leaves their email costs 1 credit, and a six-email follow-up 3 more. The widget’s page loads are 10 credits per 1,000, all from the 250 free credits a month.
Want to know which posts send people to the quiz? Put a short link in each one; the traffic quality guide shows how.
What Builderify does
- Scores every answer on the server from your own points, so nobody can edit their way into a band
- Puts each person on their band’s list, with their answers saved as tags and fields on the lead
- Starts that list’s sequence the moment they confirm their email
- Shows how many started, finished and dropped out at each question, and the share of finishers in each band
- Gives each band its own result screen, button and link
Know this first
- The quiz runs in the floating widget, not inline in a page or an OLSP Hub Site
- Sequences and campaigns go to a whole list; tags don’t filter them, so use one list per band
- Someone who retakes the quiz and lands in another band joins that list too, and gets both sequences
- Not connected to OLSP: it doesn’t know who joined or bought there
Quiz funnels, before you ask.
A short quiz that scores a visitor's answers, shows them a result, and puts them in a group with its own follow-up emails. Instead of one signup form for everyone, the curious get teaching emails and the ready get an invitation to the program you recommend.
Usually four to seven. Every question should change the score or add a tag you will act on; each extra one costs finishers. The example in this guide uses six: time, experience, comfort posting, budget, what they hope for, and when they want to start.
No. The FTC has warned that false or unsupported earnings claims are unlawful, as are claims that no experience is needed. A result can suggest a next step, and a button to an affiliate link should say it is a paid link.
Give each result band its own leads list and run a sequence on each list. In Builderify, each outcome of a quiz has its own list; once the person confirms their email, that list's sequence starts. Campaigns and sequences go to whole lists, so the lists are your segments.
Not with Builderify today. The quiz runs in the Builderify widget, which needs a site where you can add its script, such as a Builderify blog on your own domain, where the widget loads automatically.
