Qualify leads before they book a call on your website

Ask three questions. Book the calls worth taking.

Sorting is the whole trick. The quiz, the calendar and your follow-up already share one script tag. What turns them into a fork is three choices: what each answer is worth, where each band of scores lands, and what the Hot button opens. This is the whole fork, stop by stop, and what a month of it costs.

Flow 03 · The booking fork
01 Every answer is worth points 02 The total picks one band 03 Each band has its own next step
01 / Ask

Let the answers do the sorting.
Three questions, points on each.

A contact form treats every visitor the same: the tyre-kicker and the ready-to-buy prospect fill in the same three fields and land in the same pile. A quiz sorts at the point of capture, with the visitor’s own answers as the evidence. Each answer is worth points, the total is worked out on our side so nobody can score themselves into Hot, and that total is what the rest of the fork reads.

Questions
Pick one, pick several, rate it, or type an answer. Start from a working three-question template and reword it, or build from blank.
The email
Ask before the result, the answer is the reward, or after it. Name and phone are optional switches. The email is the one thing a lead needs.
Quitters
Answers are saved as people go, so even a quiz that was never finished shows you which question made them leave.

QuizOutcomes
What travels
the answers the total score
The one setting
Give every answer its points, then add an outcome for each way you want to treat a visitor. The builder shows the range your bands have to cover: 0 – 30 points possible.
02 / Sort

A band is a screen,
a button and a list.

An outcome claims a range of scores and decides three things: what the visitor sees, where its button goes, and which lead list they join. Call the bands Hot, Warm and Cold, or whatever fits your funnel. Because the list is chosen here, your follow-up is already segmented before anyone reads a single answer.

The range
From score to To score, both ends included. Bands are checked in the order you put them in, and the first one that fits wins.
The screen
A heading, a few lines under What they see, and a button with its own Button label and Button link.
The list
Add these leads to picks the list. Its sequences pick the lead up automatically.
The net
A Fallback list catches anyone who scores outside every band, so nobody is lost.

The Hot outcomeBookings
What travels
a click a visitor who is ready
The one setting
On the Hot outcome, set Button label and Button link. Paste the address from the Booking popup’s Open it from a link field, and the button opens your calendar. The quiz has already saved the lead; the click is the new signal.
03 / Book

Only Hot gets the calendar.
One tap from the result.

The Hot result is where the quiz hands the visitor to a person. Its button points at your Booking popup, so one tap on Book a call opens the calendar over the page: a day, a time in their own timezone, a name and an email, and it is in your diary. Visitors who are not ready yet never see a calendar at all.

The address
In the popup’s Triggers settings, Open it from a link gives you the exact address to paste as the button link. Set the trigger to On click so it never opens by itself. A result button opens in a new tab, so your site loads there with the calendar already up.
Your hours
A Monday-to-Friday, nine-to-five week in your website’s timezone to start with, and date overrides to close a day. Each meeting type has its own length, buffers, minimum notice and booking window.
After the tap
A confirmation email to the visitor, a notification to the host and a cancellation link that frees the slot again. Add bookers to puts them in a list too.
Callbacks
For the Hot visitor who would rather talk: a name, a number, a best day and a time of day, in a queue with their timezone beside it. Point the same button at it. Add callbacks to picks the list.

BookingsYour leads list
What travels
name and email the meeting type the time they chose
The one setting
In the Booking block or popup, set Add bookers to and choose a list. Without it the booking still happens, but the booker is not in a list your sequences and broadcasts can reach.
04 / Nurture

Warm and Cold
keep going without you.

Every band ends in a list, and a list is where follow-up lives. A sequence running on that list enrols each person as soon as they are subscribed, so Warm can get a month of nudges while Cold gets the newsletter, and the people who booked get the reminders you would never remember to send. Nothing to wire once the list is chosen.

Auto-enrol
A sequence running on the list picks each lead up as soon as they are subscribed: at once, or when they confirm their address if the list asks new signups to. Nobody has to enrol them.
Their answers
Answers with a save as name become custom fields on the lead, and tags become lead tags. Both are filterable in Broadcast and Sequences.
On a clock
Each email goes out a set number of days after the person joined. A short course for Warm, a monthly note for Cold: it is your list, your schedule.

The outcome’s listSequences
What travels
the lead their answers as fields their tags
The one setting
Run a sequence on each outcome’s list. A sequence stays a draft until a sender domain is connected, an audience list is selected, an email is active and every email has a subject and body. Nothing sends before that.
05 / Try it

Score three answers.
Then leave a gap on purpose.

A toy qualifier with three questions, so you can watch the fork decide. Tap an answer for each question, move where the bands start and end, and see the result the visitor gets, the list they join and what happens next. Then leave a gap or an overlap and see who falls through. The real quiz does the same sums, on our side, with your own questions.

06 / The cost

Three things have a rate.
The quiz itself does not.

Page loads with the widget on them are 10 credits per 1,000. A new person who joins a list is 1 credit, whether they came through the quiz, a booking or a callback, and only once: a repeat signup, or the same person on a second list, does not cost again. Each email in a sequence is 0.5 credits per recipient. Every account gets 250 free credits a month, and packs start at $9.

  • Quizzes, Bookings and Callbacks have no separate rate on the rate card: what they add is the new contact.

  • Broadcasts to a list, such as a newsletter for Cold, are also 0.5 credits per recipient.
07 / When it breaks

Six ways the fork misroutes,
and the setting behind each.

Almost everyone lands in Cold.
Cause
The bands are out of reach of the points. With three questions worth at most 10 each, a Hot band that starts at 28 can only be reached with near-perfect answers.
Fix
Answer your own quiz from the cheapest answers to the best, and use Try a score in the builder to see where each total lands. Lower the Hot band, or raise the points on the answers that matter.
Someone finished the quiz and no lead appeared.
Cause
A lead needs an email address and a list. With After the result — show it, then ask the email is a second, optional step, so people who skip it leave only their answers. And a band with no list, and no fallback, has nowhere to send them.
Fix
Ask before the result (Before the result — the answer is the reward), give every outcome a list under Add these leads to, and set a Fallback list as the net. A quiz with no list anywhere is flagged: No outcome has a leads list, so nobody gets captured.
A score falls between two bands, or lands in two.
Cause
Bands that do not meet leave a gap, and bands that overlap compete: the first one you listed wins. The builder’s readiness check only looks at a score of 0 and the perfect score, so a hole in the middle gets through. A visitor in the gap sees Thanks for answering and, with no fallback list, no lead is created.
Fix
Start each band one point above where the last ends, and set a Fallback list. Slide Try a score across every boundary, or check your bands in the scoring guide.
Hot visitors tap the button and no calendar opens.
Cause
The button link is an ordinary page, not the popup’s own address, or it was copied from a different popup. The address is built from the popup itself, so it only opens that one.
Fix
Copy it again from Open it from a link in the Booking popup’s Triggers settings. A result button opens in a new tab, so test it on your own site and give the page a moment to load.
Bookings arrive at odd hours, or with no notice.
Cause
The meeting type allows it. The default week is Monday to Friday, nine to five in your website’s timezone, and a type with no minimum notice or buffers can be booked ten minutes ahead and back to back.
Fix
Set the minimum notice, the buffers before and after, and the booking window on each meeting type, and use a date override to close a day or change its hours.
Most people quit halfway through.
Cause
A question is too personal, too early, or badly worded. A budget question in position one is the classic cliff.
Fix
Answers are saved on every step, so the quiz shows you which question people leave at. Move that question later, reword it, or make it a choice between ranges.
Questions

Qualifying leads, before you ask.

It means sorting visitors by what they tell you before they reach your calendar, so your time goes to the ones likely to buy. In Builderify a short quiz gives each answer points, the total falls into a band such as Hot, Warm or Cold, and only the Hot band gets a button that opens your booking calendar.

Each answer carries points, and the total is worked out on our side from your own options, so a visitor cannot score themselves into a higher band. The total falls into the band whose range covers it, with both ends included. Bands are checked in the order you listed them, so if two overlap the first one wins.

Yes. Each band has a result screen with a button that has its own label and link. Point the Hot button at the address of a Booking popup, from its Open it from a link field, and the calendar opens over your page when the visitor taps it. The button opens in a new tab, so your site loads there with the calendar already open.

They see Thanks for answering instead of a result. If the quiz has a fallback list they join it and still become a lead. Without one no lead is created, because a lead needs an email address and a list. The builder's readiness check only looks at a score of 0 and the perfect score, so check the middle of the range with Try a score.

Every band puts the lead in its own list, and any sequence running on that list enrols them as soon as they are subscribed, which is when they confirm their email address if the list asks new signups to. Warm can have a short nurture sequence and Cold can go to your newsletter. Answers are saved as custom fields and tags that you can filter on in Broadcast and Sequences.

Page loads with the widget on them are 10 credits per 1,000, a new person who joins a list is 1 credit, once, and each email sent is 0.5 credits per recipient. The quiz, the calendar and the callback queue have no rate of their own. Every account gets 250 free credits a month, packs start at $9 and purchased credits never expire.
